They were my FAVORITE band.




I thought John Taylor was SO HOT!

This was the "Big Thing" tour and the concert was held in a small theater (I can't think of the name right off hand) in Omaha, NE.

Encaustic!

I've found a new favorite medium...beeswax. I attended a an encaustic workshop this weekend and fear I'm going to have to set up and encaustic studio. So, this blog is going to be changing directions soon.

STUDIO | "H" Series

Besides being and mother, wife, Etsy shop owner, graphic designer (day job)...I am also and artist. Actually, I'm an emerging artist and will have my first SOLO show in November. (I'm extremely excited and nervous about this!) So, I'm frantically working on a series that I call "H". Above is a sneak peek at my latest.

Usually I use my own hand-dyed solid fabrics but I was taken by the beauty and whimsy of some fabric created by a superb dyer, Malka, from the Etsy shop a stitch in dye. Her pieces are the funky batik hot pink and chartreuse.

A week from today I'm going to be having a sale in the shop. I'll post more about that SOON!
